Building Effective Training Through Coalition

How do you guarantee Sales, Product, and Clinical training are successful? Involve ALL key stakeholders!
Many times, medical device training looks to equip sales and clinical representatives with the basic facts of what a product is, what it does and how much to sell it for. Very seldom does the training reflect what to do with that information, when and why. We hire skilled sales people and rely on their intuition and experience to carry the day. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t…NOT an “effective” way to spend our valuable time and resources, is it? In fact, only by including ALL the stakeholders (Sales Management, Sales Team representation, Marketing, Training, R&D, and of course CUSTOMERS) can we build SUCCESSFUL training and environmental conditions to meet important goals. Engaging ALL of these team members (internal and external) through the entire Instructional Design process of Assess, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate can help us do everything we can to ensure success. With an enormous focus on ROI, we can’t risk a missed opportunity to make a BIG impact every on every learning opportunity.
